I am a relaxation specialist- everything that I do with my clients or my students comes back to a very principle – when you are calm and relaxed, anything is possible!

When it comes to birthing- I teach parents how to have a calm, gentle, comfortable birth, with the confidence of HypnoBirthing.

When it comes to parenting – I teach “Better Baby Bonding through Touch” – a series of classes for parents and their babies that helps them both to relax and enhance the bond between them.  Parents learn basic massage strokes, and learn to understand their babies’ signals and ease the frustration of communication.

When it comes to Life Skills – I offer Hypnosis to help a client overcome long held habits, beliefs or feelings, so that they can relax and release the things that have been holding them back from achieving their goals.

When it comes to achieving emotional and physical stability – I offer CranioSacral Therapy sessions that can help a client relax and release long held patterns, patterns that may cause pain, both physical and emotional.

I am a faculty member of HypnoBirthing International Institute, and on the Advisory board.  I teach certification classes in HypnoBirthing to future HypnoBirthing professionals all around the United  States, and I developed the Better Baby Bonding Through Touch – the Infant Massage Certification class for professionals.  I have taught this class internationally, in places like Mexico, Singapore, Iceland and the UK.

I was an award winning Massage Therapist in a suburb of Pittsburgh for almost 20 years, and I am now practicing a little relaxation of my own.  I have stopped massaging client’s bodies.  Now, I am working on relaxing their minds.  Once the mind is relaxed, the body will follow.

What do all those initials mean?

I am a graduate of the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy (CMT), and a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist (NCTMB).  I am a certified Doula through DONA–the Doulas of North America (CD-DONA).  I am a certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator (HBCE) through the HypnoBirthing Institute.  I have taken classes in many different types of massage and bodywork–CranioSacral therapy thorugh the Upledger Institute, in Infant Massage through the International Association of Infant Massage, Pregnancy Massage Therapy from Kate Jordan’s “Bodywork for the Childbearing Year” and Annie’s Hands.  Muscle Release Therapy, Geriatric Massage, and Healing Touch Therapy are some of the other work I have studied, that I don’t add initials for.  And…if you’ve gotten this far, and are still curious….I’m a Really Wonderful Woman who Finds Joy in Life (RW³FJL)!
