HypnoBirthing®-The Mongan Method

A safe, easier, gentle, more comfortable birthing, in the way that most mirrors nature.

HypnoBirthing® is as much a philosophy as it is a technique.  The concept is not new, but rather a 'rebirth' of a philosophy of birthing as it existed thousands of years ago.  The method teaches you to trust in your own body, and it's wisdom and power, to give birth in a gentle, comfortable way.

This method teaches that, in the absence of fear and tension, severe pain doesn't have to be a part of birthing.

You will gain an understanding of how the birthing body works in perfect harmony--as it was designed to--when your body is sufficiently relaxed.  You will learn how to achieve this kind of relaxation, and how to use your natural birthing instincts for a gentle, comfortable birthing.

When you have your baby with HypnoBirthing®, you will not be in a trance or asleep.  You will be in good spirits, able to have a conversation. You will be deeply relaxed--similar to the experience of deep focus when you are engrossed in a task or staring into a fire.  You will be awake and aware throughout, and fully in control.  You will be aware of your body's surges, but because you are so relaxed, you don't feel the resistance that fear and tension breed.

HypnoBirthing® is taught in a series of 5 classes, for a total of 12 hours--it is a complete childbirth education class, teaching the philosophy and the techniques, as well as the physiology of birth, nutrition, work on birth plans and even the nuts and bolts information such as making a trial run to the hospital.
