About Me![]()
Kim Young,
CMT, NCTMB, HBCE, CD(Dona), RW³FJL
I practice an eclectic blend of many massage styles
.each massage is different, as different as the client on the table. A common thread runs throughout each massage I provide: that you leave feeling nurtured, comforted, and relaxed. Whether you are stressed out by work, life, marriage, or friends, you will spend your time on the table miles away from it all. You will leave relaxed and rejuvenated, ready to face it all, but with a better attitude.
I have carried the ideal of nurturing to all the work I do. In addition to basic relaxation massage and massage for pain relief, I also work extensively with families during the childbearing year. I offer pregnancy massage, infant massage and classes in HypnoBirthing® and Infant Massage.
What do all those initials mean?
I am a graduate of the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy (CMT), and a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist (NCTMB). I am a certified Doula through DONA--the Doulas of North America (CD-DONA). I am a certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator (HBCE) through the HypnoBirthing Institute. I have taken classes in many different types of massage and bodywork--CranioSacral therapy thorugh the Upledger Institute, in Infant Massage through the International Association of Infant Massage, Pregnancy Massage Therapy from Kate Jordan's "Bodywork for the Childbearing Year" and Annie's Hands. Muscle Release Therapy, Geriatric Massage, and Healing Touch Therapy are some of the other work I have studied, that I don't add initials for. And
if you've gotten this far, and are still curious
.I'm a Really Wonderful Woman who Finds Joy in Life (RW³FJL)!
